Section 30
Removable

(1) If the Vice-Chancellor, the Chairman of the Service Commission or the Registrar has not fulfilled the responsibilities of his position, has not worked honestly or has not behaved in a manner befitting his position, if one-fourth of the members present in the assembly submit a written request to the Chancellor to remove him from the position, the Chancellor, under the chairmanship of any member of the assembly, grants the university grant. A three-member investigation committee will be formed, consisting of members of the commission and the secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
(2) The investigation committee constituted as per sub-section (1) shall conduct the necessary investigation and submit its report to the Chancellor within thirty days.
(3) After receiving the report as per sub-section (2), the chancellor shall present the report to the assembly.
(4) If the Assembly decides to remove the Vice-Chancellor, Chairman of the Service Commission or the Registrar during the discussion on the report submitted in accordance with Sub-section (2), the Chancellor shall remove such Vice-Chancellor, Chairman of the Service Commission or the Registrar from the position. But before such removal, he shall not be deprived of the opportunity to submit an explanation.
(5) The procedure to be followed in the investigation or removal of any other official of the University except for the Vice-Chancellor, the Chairman of the Service Commission or the Registrar on charges under sub-section (1) shall be as prescribed.
(6) If an investigation is started against an official according to this section, he shall not be allowed to work in the position he is holding until the final decision is made.
